Why Do We Keep Sabotaging Ourselves?

Why Do We Keep Sabotaging Ourselves?
They say that time is the most precious thing in the world, and yet we spend it as if tomorrow has promised to wait for us.

We want that life-changing job, but updating our CV feels like a chore, putting up with AI interviewers is draining, and even replying to that email becomes something we’ll do later. So we put it all off until we feel ready.

We want a healthy body and a sculpted physique, but going to the gym is exhausting. So we sleep in, slack off, and promise ourselves we’ll start next week.

We imagine our dream life and the vacations we’ll take, but we keep putting off saving for them. Somehow, the latest iPhone feels more urgent than the places we’ve always wanted to see.

We want that person in our lives, and we know we have plenty to offer. Yet we sabotage the connection through insecurity, seeking more and more reassurance that we’re enough. We keep searching for love in others while forgetting to nurture it within ourselves.

Sometimes, we get lucky, and things work out despite the ways we hold ourselves back. Or maybe we find a rare moment of inspiration to finally give what matters to us: the time, effort, and care it deserves.

But I find it sad how quietly we sabotage ourselves. How we can want something so deeply and still surrender it to whatever feels easier today.

We keep leaving our dreams for the person we’ll be tomorrow, forgetting that time has never promised us how many tomorrows we’ll have.

Please keep chasing that sunset...
